Lilian - Frankrijk - ChaosBoyz 4x4

Wouter heeft weer contact gehad met Lilian Melo, die Fancaise die een Fransman bleek te zijn (zie Chaosboyz in de Alpen 2005)

Nog even om het geheugen op te frissen, tijdens een trip naar de Alpen om daar 4x4 onverhard in de bergen rond te rijden had Wouter afgesproken boven op de Col de Sommelier (3008 meter) met Lilian. Wouter dacht een leuke francaise met een voorliefde voor Dodges te onmoeten. Groot was zijn teleurstelling dat Lilian een vent bleek te zijn. Desondanks zijn ze vrienden geworden en houden ze zo nu en dan contact. Onderstaand een stukje van het email verkeer tussen Lilian en Wouter

For my Ramcharger I had some bad surprise in the restoration which has make me take delay. The traverse of the floor postpones with the top completely rotted back door.
There I have to put myself and to practically remake it in entirety, it does not have remains that 10cm cross-piece of origin. what obliged me to remake the support of case which is fixed on this cross-piece, therefore much of work.
Then by stopping with the welding the clamp holes of gate external spare wheel, I scraped the back gutter of the hardware signal and there still very bad surprise, makes the former owner of it had filled all the holes in the gutter with a cement, like one says here a bandage on a wooden leg!! and there still I accumulated the delay.

In fact I sought with the U.S. to have the gutter which is in two parts, I ended up finding the references of origin dodge but after several requests with the U.S. it proves that is not any more to manufacture since 2001. Is needed whereas I manufactures it, I must see a métallier so that it folds me a metal tape to make an angle and then I will put myself there and will curve it and weld it in his place onto the hardware signal. thus still much of work in prospect. If not all before is finished, the new wings are in place and all is with the hue of origin .Junior Blue.

All mechanics also is in place and it turns very well besides, the 360ci with the exhausts which I have make has a terrible sound. I was also blocked by the ordering of the kick-down which is not the same one between one 318 and one 360, but I finished by in found one of origin in new-old stock on US e-bay.
I am right make a small pleasure, I bought headlights with Xenon as the car modern, because it should well be recognized that lighting on the dodge is not terrible. Finally normally when I finished my gutter postpones one will be the next year and the carriage-builder will be able to take the dodge in painting to me, because to face the front face the passages of interior wing, the partition by fire, I have it make me but to have a beautiful result for outside I prefer to make it make by a pro. Finally I hope!! because there with the remade frame, remade tank, floor, underbody, support of case entirely remade also, back door, gates right and left and wings before new right-hand side and left and a 360ci with 35,000 km and quite sour all small parts (joined of gate, etc.)new as, I believe as I set out again with a Dodge Ramcharger very nice.
